First steps
Finding the right fit with a therapist can be a process. I consider the first three sessions to be an assessment period. This gives me the chance to get a sense of what is going on for you and what your needs are. It gives you the chance to determine if this feel like the best therapeutic fit for you.
First session
After we have scheduled the first intake appointment I will invite you to complete new client paperwork online for your convenience.
Insurance and Fees
My rates are $225 for first appointments, $200 for couples appointments and $185 for individual appointments. Appointments are 45-60 minutes depending on the session and need.
I accept all major credit cards, HSA cards, and cash. Fees are due at the time of service.
I can provide a SuperBill for Out of Network reimbursement.
Good Faith Estimates/No Surprises Act: As of January 1, 2022, psychologists and other health care providers are required by law to give patients a “good faith estimate of costs” for services that they offer and inform patients of an expected charge for a service before the service is provided. You can read more about the No Surprises Act here.
Cancellation Fee
There will be no charge if notice is given 48-hours before the session, however less than 48-hour notice cancellations will be billed at my full session fee. Please understand that when you make an appointment, I am reserving that time for you. If you miss an appointment, that is time that could be spent with another client therefore it is necessary for me to charge for missed appointments.
APIT
I am authorized to practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT). PSYPACT is an interstate compact which offers a voluntary expedited pathway for practice to qualified psychologists who wish to practice in multiple states. PSYPACT is designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology and the temporary in-person, face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries. In order to practice telepsychology in PSYPACT states, psychologists licensed in PSYPACT states only, can apply to the PSYPACT Commission for an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT). In order to conduct temporary practice in PSYPACT states, psychologists licensed in PSYPACT states only can apply to the PSYPACT Commission for a Temporary Authorization to Practice (TAP). The PSYPACT Commission is the governing body of PSYPACT and is comprised of one representative from each PSYPACT state. More information regarding PSYPACT and its requirements can be found at www.psypact.org.
